What is the Maya 2012 prophecy?

On december 21,2012, this calender completes its thirtennth "Baktun" cycle since its starting point.
In astronomic terms taht date is when the sun and earth will line up with the center of the milky way.
What the maya say is that this is the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new era. The world we are ending is one that is dominated by materialism.
